Paying Last Respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

26 March 2015, queuing time from 6pm to 10.30pm.

Many thoughts came to my mind..

Dear Mr Lee Kuan Yew,

We were like your children, been well taken care by you all these years. You are like our father, a living Buddha, a man with intelligent, wits and guts to put thoughts into action.

This day, there is nothing we can do, but a very little effort to pay last respect to you at the Parliament house. You are a great man, our guardians, my idol. You will always be remembered in our hearts.

Yours truly,

Thank you!

It was an ordinary Monday, I switched on my phone and got a message from my mom that Mr Lee Kuan Yew have passed away. I switched on the television and my PC to check the news. I have been always thinking that Mr Lee will be able to attend this year's National Day Parade, not even a single thought that he will be missing this year's parade.

I am born in the 1980s, one third of his age. I am not a good reader who will read news everyday, or study history thoroughly. However, I know that he is the man who build Singapore to the current state. To me, it is beyond "Thank You" that could express our thankfulness for his great effort for creating a safe and stable country to live.

He is a great man, my idol. He will be remembered always!
